Energy Innovation Center and Energy Innovation Center Institute
In 2008 a diverse consortium of organizations convened to address opportunities for green economic development in Pittsburgh. They invited Gateways to undertake a project to renovate the aging Connelley Trade School as a workforce development institution for emerging green marketplace. This ongoing project is Gateways’ most ambitious to date.
America's Arts and Music Crossroads Center

The Clemente Society at Engine House 25
The Roberto Clemente Museum is a private American museum honoring Roberto Clemente, a Major League Baseball right fielder of the Pittsburgh Pirates and a Hall of Famer. Housed in a former firehouse, this project pays tribute to a local legend while preserving a unique architectural structure, the historic Engine House 25. In 2010 Gateways worked with the museum to develop sustainable business plan. PGC led a successful fundraising campaign, and increased visitor numbers, event bookings and memberships.
Gateways and World-Class Industrial Network, LLC (WIN) were founding partners in this comprehensive energy management consultancy for smaller- and mid-sized industrial, commercial, institutional and municipal facilities. Instead of selling products or services, eCap acts as an impartial third party in transactions between clients and vendors. They also offer energy management solutions to non-profit organizations and their constituents.
A key part of our mission is to generate new business growth. In 2007 PGC began working with the U.S. Department of Defense on FirstLink, a project to bring DoD-developed technologies to the market. These technologies support the work of domestic first responders in a variety of settings, including the Department of Homeland Security’s National Protection and Programs Directorate and private security businesses. FirstLink has since facilitated the transfer of over 120 critical new technologies for firefighters, disaster relief workers, civilian first responders, and search and rescue crews.
